Welcome to the Skele-Zombie Circus!
Welcome to our Halloween
Page for 2025. Skippy and I did a brain-storming session in May and came
up with the idea for the Skele-Zombie Circus. The circus has many of the
fun features of an old fashioned local circus - but with Skeletons and Zombies.
The giant pumpkin
has a Ring Master's hat that tilts side to side as the ring master (voiced by
Skippy) invites the trick-or-treaters to enter "If they dare".
Additionally, we did a tribute to Ozzy which includes Green Monster eating a
bat.
The Circus includes a skeleton riding a
unicycle across the driveway, a large skeleton juggling three pumpkins, a
strong-man skeleton lifting a pumpkin barbell, and a zombie carousel. A
creepy circus tent is projected on the entire house, and alternating projections
above the front door of a creepy clown and a kid in a scary old clown costume
(my sister-in-law - as a child).
We created a graveyard on the right side
and left side of the walkway. A couple of clown zombie heads pop up from behind tombstones. We brought back the tilting and rocking tombstones. The
Three Rising Light-up Pumpkins were
given clown wigs, and the Creature in the Coffin is still trying to get out. The Spider
continues to travel his web from top to bottom. We continued the pumpkin patch on the
left side of the walkway. It has lots of pumpkins displayed that were carved by
family and friends. Background music, Black lights,
and Halloween lights add
to the ambiance.
It takes lots of
lights, pneumatics, cylinders, gear-motors, power supplies, extension cords, amplifiers, speaker sets, and time to create the show. The show is run by a Light-O-Rama 24-channel control
system. Rach did the LOR programming. Check out the pictures and videos below.
Thanks to my little helper neighbors that drew the pumpkin faces for the
juggling skeleton, and to my neice and her kids for making amazing zombie horses
for the carousel.
