Hello All,
Welcome to Our Halloween
Page for 2019. Thought it might be fun to do a whole house projection this year.
I asked a student at S.C.A.D., Andrew, to do a CGI animation of demons and
flames and such. It turned out awesome (see videos below). I used three
projectors positioned in a scaffolding tower in the front yard to shoot the
house. I also did a talking pumpkin projection, courtesy of atmosfx.com. Those folks are great.
Since the house was catching on fire every three minutes, it made sense to me to
have a couple of skeletons making s'mores on a bon fire. And if you have
marshmallows, then the Stay Puft Marshmallow guy should also make an appearance.
He pops up from behind a tombstone. We brought back the graveyard with tilting and rocking tombstones.
The
Three Rising Light-up Pumpkins and the Creature in the Coffin returned this
year. The Spider
still travels his web from top to bottom; he now has blinking LED eyes as
suggested my my neighbor's kids. Black lights add
ambiance, Halloween lights and carved pumpkins add to the festivities.
It takes lots of string
lights, lots of pneumatics, lots of cylinders,
lots of relays,
lots of extension cords, multiple amplifiers and speaker sets, and lots and lots of time to create the show. The show is run by a Light-O-Rama 24-channel control
system. Rach did the audio editing and the LOR programming. Check out the pictures and videos below.
There are YouTube
links to different portions of the display and show below.
