Hello All,
Welcome to Our Halloween
Page for 2015. This year was all about Pirates! Specifically, the Pirates of the
Caribbean Ride. A talking skull greets the Trick-or-Treaters. The Skeleton is
the captain of the Ship. There is a cannon duel between our Skeleton
Captain's ship and the animated ship projected on the sail. Thanks to Andrew for
creating the excellent Pirate Ship Animation. Note the timing between cannon
fire, holes in the ship, and the ship sinking.
The Pumpkin Man and Backup Singing Pumpkins belt out the vocals and chorus for
the Pirates of the Caribbean experience. Lots of rope lights, lots of pneumatics,
lots and lots of extension cords. The show is run by a Light-O-Rama 24-channel control
system and a second Light-O-Rama 8-channel control system. A "robotic finger"
pushes play on the remote control to start the video (Will's creation). An A/B plc drives the Walkway show (which also uses pneumatics). An optical
sensor is used to trigger the Walkway show. Check out the pictures and videos below.
There are both daytime
and nighttime videos of the show. There is also a video of the Animation created
by Andrew. No video of the walkway show; just check out the
2012 Halloween website for the walkway video (link at bottom of this page). It consists of Ghosts lighting up and popping up
from behind Tomb Stones, Creature trying to escape from the
coffin, Three pumpkins rising up and lighting up, the Rocking
Chairs with Mr. and Mrs. Skeleton, and Count Dracula are lit up and rocking, the
Raven flaps his wings, tilts forwards and backwards, and rotates his head, the Spider travels his web from top to bottom, and black lights adds
ambiance, Halloween lights and carved pumpkins add to the festivities, and of course Disney's
"Grim Grinning Ghosts" Haunted Mansion Theme Song is playing in the background.
