Hello All,
Welcome to Our Halloween
Page for 2012. We decided to get a little weird this year and build a dancing
skeleton. The Singing Pumpkin Man sings the "Party Rock Anthem" with help from
two Pumpkin Backup Singers. The skeleton "shuffles" side to side, rotates,
kicks up his legs, and swings his arms. We decided to add a pushbutton start so
that the
Trick-or Treat folks could start the show themselves. The talking
Pumpkin uses rope lights, the dancing skeleton uses pneumatics, and both are run by a Light-O-Rama 24-channel control
system. An A/B plc drives the Walkway show (which also uses pneumatics). Optical
sensors are used to trigger the Walkway show. Check out the pictures and videos below.
There are both daytime
and nighttime videos of the Dancing Skeleton. The soundtrack breaks up due to
residual winds from Hurricane Sandy. There is also a
video of the Walkway show. It consists of Ghosts lighting up and popping up
from behind Tomb Stones, Creature trying to escape from the
coffin, Three pumpkins rising up and lighting up, the Rocking
Chairs with Mr. and Mrs. Skeleton, and Jr. are lit up and rocking, the
Raven flaps his wings, tilts forwards and backwards, and rotates his head, the Spider travels his web from top to bottom,
the low lying fog generators and black lights adds
ambiance, Halloween lights and carved pumpkins add to the festivities, and of course Disney's
"Grim Grinning Ghosts" Haunted Mansion Theme Song is playing in the background.
